šŸ›Ž [TBB #212] If you hate social media, this is good news

In the past week two of my clients have told me that they'd gotten new inquiries from ChatGPT. Not only were those inquiries solid, but these providers were chosen based on specific parameters.

Sure, the market positioning we developed together helped these therapists stand out. But there's something else they have in common: they've been cited by reputable publications and published articles expressing their own professional perspectives.

And based on what I've been learning about AI search, I don't think that's insignificant.

Through my own experiments and by listening to other experts, I've learned that professional credibility and third-party recognition can influence how AI evaluates and recommends providers. In other words, others (peers and publications) need to respect your opinion enough to associate themselves with you.

And this is excellent news for therapists who like writing about their work but hate dumbing it down for social media. With AI search, your expertise has more value than going viral on social media.

You see, when people use LLM platforms to find solutions to their problems, they're presented with options that appear relevant to their specific needs. The best options are those that are reputable, differentiated, and consistent in their messaging.

All of this requires very little performative work and a much more serious approach. In my opinion, that's a big advantage for therapists and healthcare providers at large.

So if you (like myself) rejected the dancing on TikTok trend of the past years, you no longer need to worry about incorporating that into your marketing. And if you want help standing out and being chosen for your work, let's talk.

See you next week,
